Movie Premise of the Day: Back in 2010, director Ben Popik recruited five comedy writers for a surprise challenge: Each would write 15 pages of a movie, having read only the previous five pages of the script.
okay i am really late to this party but does anyone else find it very convenient that the only female involved in this production is the lead actress?
good job recruiting five male comedy writers i’m sure that was next to impossible for you
Hi, “Fucking Bitch Tits”! Thanks for reblogging!
You know what? Your critique is totally valid! We absolutely should have tried harder to involve more women in creative roles in this project, specifically as one (or more) of the five main writers. Thank you for keeping us in check with your snarky feedback! Sincerely!
But! Also! You make some assumptions that are incorrect. There were many women involved in this production behind the scenes who aren’t featured in this minute-and-a-half-long trailer, including editors, camerawomen, boom mic operators, our very hands-on producer Margaret, and a surprise co-writer that shows up about a third of the way into the movie.
Do you live in Maine, Fucking Bitch Tits? Because if so, you can see this movie for yourself next weekend and draw your own conclusions. If not, that’s okay, because maybe someone else reading this lives in Maine and wants to see our movie.
THE EXQUISITE CORPSE PROJECT
