Brite Futures - Too Young To Kill
This has been my jam for the last several weeks — I’ve probably watched this video over fifty times.
“Make it a club hit we can all dance to.
We don’t give a shit what it’s about.”
I have a soft spot for the meta subgenre of songs that are about bands getting notes from record labels that their songs aren’t hooky enough.
Other examples off the top of my head:
- Love Song by Sara Bareilles
- It’s a Hit by Rilo Kiley
- the “L.A. Reid told me I’d be a popstar” verse from Pink’s Don’t Let Me Get Me
Uh, I also listen to a lot of manly dude music too, FYI.
